Printed Top Brand Pens

You might wonder whether it matters what make of printed pens you give out as promotional advertising tools or gifts; and in a lot of situations it doesn't.  All pens with promotional print are useful and ordinarily gratefully received by anyone you give them to.  However for special clients, valued employees and important business contacts it is important to make a statement with quality well known and trusted top pen brands for promotions.  Expensive printed or engraved pens can work wonders in boosting employee morale, showing clients that you really do value their business and go part way toward sealing a deal in important business negotiations.

Waterman Pens is a name synonymous with old fashioned quality, style and elegance but few people know how the company started.  Its history dates back to 1884 and it was founded by Lewis Edson Waterman who was an insurance sales representative in New York.  Legend has it that whilst visiting a potential client and successfully selling him a policy, Edson handed the client his pen which was, for that time, a state of the art reservoir type.  Unfortunately, the pen released so much ink that it caused an enormous blot on the contract causing the client to think that fate had played a hand in suggesting this was not something he should be doing, hence  he changed his mind and Edson lost the deal.

Fate had indeed lent a hand to Edson because that unfortunate incident caused him to make a change in his career, placing him at the helm of one of the largest companies of pen manufacturers that existed in the U.S during the late 19th century, having invented a superior, highly functional fountain pen.  The style and design of Waterman pens made the company stand out as a leader in its field right up to around 1920.  As more and more pen manufacturers opened up for business with innovative designs using and modern technology, Waterman floundered and although it continued to produce exquisite fountain pens it never really enjoyed the success of its earlier years.  During the 1950's the company was taken over by Waterman Jif, a French subsidiary, cutting its ties with America.  Ballpoint pens began to carry the Waterman name and in 2001 the ownership of the company passed indirectly to Newell Rubbermaid and therefore to The Parker Pen Company who now offer the entire range printed to your requirements though our distribution network

There are many possessions that we can acquire where change is welcomed.  However, in the case of Waterman the prestige of the original product and brand lives on with thousands of pounds having been paid at auction for antique collectible Waterman Pens.  The modern Waterman ballpens are high quality, sleek twist action writing implements with options to have them gold electroplated or chrome trimmed.  When used as executive gifts a nice touch is to have the name of the recipient engraved on the barrel or clip

Parker Pen Company is one of the most well known brands in the world and The Parker Pen Company is only five years younger than Waterman.  Founded in 1889 by George Safford Parker the company flourished from 1894 with an innovative design of pen called the Lucky Curve.  This was a popular pen because it had a suction ability that drew ink back into the pen when it wasn't being used, thereby saving on ink costs.  Many of us will remember bottles of Quink ink but few are aware that it was developed by Parker.  It was the first quick drying ink and was marketed alongside the Parker 51 which during a thirty year period clocked up in excess of 400 million dollars worth of sales.  This led to worldwide acclaim for the Parker Pens Company and today it has manufacturing facilities in many countries of the world.

There are so many Parker models to choose from as you will see on our website but all of them, no matter how cheap or expensive, are precision writing instruments which are elegant in design.  The Parker pen has been responsible for signatures that have appeared on some of the world's most famous documents including the armistice of World War II.

The entire range of Parker Pens exudes luxury and high perceived value so you can be assured that any recipient is going to appreciate a Parker.  Placed in a presentation box, these pens offer branding or printing opportunities on the barrels and clips as well as on the boxes.  They can be printed but engraving is recommended if you want to make the best impression with these pens.

Cross Pens emerged as a major player in the pen manufacturing industry between the years when Waterman and Parker were founded.  A.T. Cross Company began manufacturing silver and gold cases for pens in 1846.  It is quite surprising how all the luxury brands have survived since the 19th century and go from strength to strength up to the present day.  Richard Cross formed the company but his son, Alonzo Cross, managed the business developing the predecessors of mechanical pencils and stylographic pens which would later become the ballpens that we use nowadays.  In 1916 the company was purchased by Walter R. Boss and became a PLC in 1971.  There are still Boss family members on the board of directors today.  Cross maintains its roots in Rhode Island where its first factory was opened but the pens have been manufactured in China since 2007.  The most popular Cross products for use as promotional gifts are now ballpens, fountain pens, mechanical pencils and gel pens and are ususlly printed or engraved.  Whilst not the most expensive; these pens are stylish with a luxurious quality that will appeal to anyone in receipt of them.

On our website you will find a comprehensive range of luxury brands of pens at very affordable prices.  Purchasing online allows us to offer these exceptional products at low prices and you can make further savings with large order quantities.  We place at your disposal the services of our design team should you require them together with constructive advice to assist you in making a choice of product and design that will best suit your marketing needs.  There is always someone at the end of a telephone to answer any queries you may have and we very much look forward to assisting you in any on-going or new marketing campaign which involves promotional gift strategy.
